Along the border of West Brabant with Zeeland and Flanders lies a striking landscape: De Brabantse Wal. The high, forest-covered sandy soils here merge into the lower sea clay polders. Most notable is the steep ridge, a monument of geological value. The steep ridge meanders from Ossendrecht along Hoogerheide, Woensdrecht and Bergen op Zoom to Steenbergen.
